Bhagwa had been our National flag from the very beginning our nation. When we aryans rule this world it was Bhagwa which represents our great Nation. It was Bhagwa which was actually Vishwa Vijai. Maharaj Bharat gave us the glory to be called the natives of a nation which rules all round the world. Because of this achievement the aryavarta & the victorious region together is known as Bharatvarsh. We are going to discuss the history of origin of tiranga. How Tiranga (tricolor) became our National flag when Bhagwa had been our representative symbol for thousands of years.
From 1906 to 1929 many different flags were used before finallising tiranga. In the 1929 session of Congress held in Baijwada, man came to Mohandas Gandhi with a flag made of two strips Red & Green. Mohandas Gandhi suggested him to add a white strip & charkha in between from progress. Flag was prepared as per Mohandas Gandhi suggestion but no one accepted such flag officially. Still congress started using that Flag.
In 1931 the question for official flag raised. As the flag was based on the representation of two communities, Hindus & Muslims. Sikhs now insisted to add yellow color for the representation of their community in the flag. Sikhs also objected on the flag based on communal basis. The demand was right because when our flag was designed on communal basis other communities have full right to ask to add the color representing their community. If tomorrow Parsis, Baudhist, Jains ask for their representation their demand was also just. It is just even if someone asks today. India has a lot of communities & only Hindus and Muslims are not the owner of the Nation.
If other community says that Sikhs, Jains Baudhs all are Hinduism sect and hindus symbol is already there. Parsis are also nearer to Hindus. This concept cannot be taken. Because concept which was even accepted by Sir Syed Ahmad Kha that in India everyone is hindu even the muslims as it is Hindusthan(place of hindus) as Hinduism is a way of living can’t even be accepted. How Muslims can be given a separate place for representation. When this problem came a committee of seven members was made to decide the final flag of Bharat. This committee’s seven members were 1. Sardar V.B. Patel 2. Jawaharlal Nehru 3. Dr Patabbhi Sitaramiya 4. Acharya Kaka Kalekar 5. Master Tara Singh 6. Mulana Azad.
These all six members decided that the National Flag should be of one color. They suggested “Kesaria”(slight differ from Bhagwa) as it is widely accepted moreover it is been used from our great kings in the history. Charkha was also suggested on the pole side in the kesaria flag. This falg wasn’t communal it was cultural symbolisation. Though the flag was accepted by all seven members but still the congress working committee needs to give its final approval.
Dr. Hedgewar who was founder of R.S.S when heard this, he was pleased but he knew Gandhi will object on this flag. The tricolor was promoted by Gandhi and Gandhi was very concisious towards his prestige. Rejecting tricolor will be Gandhis insult. And Seven members actually did this. Gandhis best follower Nehru even rejected the tri color. When this matter came to Congress working community, Loknayak Bapuji Ade referred Bhagwa instead of kesaria. But Dr. Hedgewar talked to him in this matter and told him that only a slight difference exist between Bhagwa & Kesaria. Both are made from mixture of red & yellow. Kesaria have majority of yellow & Bhagwa have majority of red color. Ade accepted Hedgewar request to support kesaria but Ade knew the sttubborness of Gandhi. He suggested Hedgewar to put the logical point as no one in congress will dare to oppose gandhi. The fact was that Gandhi dictates congress. He compels congress whatever he wants without being involving in the matter.
Hedgewar reached delhi and stayed at Ade’s home. May be he thought that it is best place to meet the other members of congress working committee. But happened that was expected. Gandhi rejected the comitee suggestion. All the labor of Dr Hedgewar wasted. The only advantage of these efforts was come out that red was replaced by Kesaria. And the Kesaria strip was shifted on top. Initially it was below white. Though congress knew that how illogical & communal work it did. So congress changed the interpretation of the colors. Congress said that Kesaria (saffron) is for sacrifice, Green for greenry & white for peace. Though no one accepted this forced interpretation.
Even if we accept the communal flag the question rises that the representation should be in accordance with the population. Muslims were not 33% at that time in the country still their symbol was given equal right on resources of nation. At present congress P.M says Muslims have first right on the resources of the nation.
If tomorrow muslims reach 50% they have full right to change the tricolor and increase the green color in the flag. Leaders like Lalu prasad gave the slogan bhagwa bhagao. If this rule is applied in tricolor green & white will remain in flag and India’s flag will resemble with the pakistani flag. But we shouldn’t think that such leaders are Pakistani agents. It is the other thing public rejected such slogan & the leaders like Lalu prasad.
Let us not repeat the past mistakes. Bhagwa is the real flag of our nation. Savarkar raised this flag along with the tricolor. So give respect to bhagwa as your national flag. If you raise tricolor then raise bhagwa as well on your house with the respect of national flag in your heart. I am not asking to break any Indian laws. What I am asking is to raise your voice for just and rational demand of having a non communal flag. The color also shows the rights of community towards national resources. Muslims represent 33% still Indian P.M says Muslims have first right on Indian resources. Hindus keep silence on such statements. But when Muslims will reach 33% & more they will not sit silent. They will demand to increase green color in the flag. Bhagwa is the representation of our old glory. Because it was Bhagwa which was vishwa vijayi(victorious over world) not the tiranga. Let us demand for JUST.
Bhagwa Ucha Rahe Humara
Vijai Vishwa Bhagwa Pyara
Vande Ved Matram
Bhagwa Ucha Rahe Humara
Vijai Vishwa Bhagwa Pyara
Vande Ved Matram
